SAND, SURF & SUSPENSE the Jersey Shore

Explore danger & romance in an upscale Jersey Shore community...

My first romantic suspense novel, Dangerous Sands, is available in both paperback and digital forms. My heroine's return to her Jersey Shore hometown for a much-needed summer break turns out to be more demanding and dangerous than she'd ever expected. And though she's definitely not seeking romance, it's getting harder to resist the appeal of two very different men.

An excerpt from Happily Ever After Reviews states:

"Dangerous Sands has smooth writing, sensuality, and intense mysterious book that will grab you and not let you go until you finish reading the book from beginning to end. This book will make you wonder what people will do to get what they want, not caring who gets hurt." - Happily Ever After Reviews

Here's the blurb that appears on the back:

Massage therapist Rita Madison is divorced and retreating to the sanctuary of her upscale Jersey Shore hometown. At 39, she’s tired, broke, and has little trust in men. Her plan is to build her own business, spend time with her beloved aunt and walk on the beach – far from men, lies, and deception. But the idyllic locale she remembers from her childhood no longer exists. Her aging aunt is facing a bleak financial situation, and a series of incidents are plaguing her new business, threatening to derail her new life and livelihood.

To complicate matters further, two attractive men enter Rita’s life: a down-to-earth yet secretive carpenter who claims he is looking out for her aunt and a wealthy, smooth-talking businessman who offers her a trouble-free life every chance he gets. While Rita untangles the finances of her aunt, she must decide if she can learn to trust and love again. But is she putting her trust, and her heart, in the care of the wrong man?

I love strong heroines as much as I love the ocean so I included both in my book. Though born in Buffalo, NY, I grew up building sand castles and collecting shells on the beaches in South Florida after my family moved when I was two. Since graduating from college, I’ve enjoyed living minutes from the boardwalks and dunes of the Jersey Shore where Dangerous Sands is set.

My latest story, "Escape to Paradise," is set in the Florida Keys. It can be found in 30 Shades of Dead, WC Publishing, 2017, a collection of mysteries to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sisters in Crime or at

...a love triangle on the shores of Lake Ontario...

Remember high school? Looking forward to a reunion? Hoping to avoid that one person who made your life miserable...or dance with the one who made your heart beat faster? Download my story, Red Leather Reunion, a part of the Wild Rose Press Class of '85 High School Reunion series set in Western New York. It features a shifting love triangle twenty years after the explosive split at the fifth year reunion between a local celebrity TV reporter and her ex, a former star athlete.

It was fun creating characters whose lives have changed radically during the last 25 years - while some haven't changed at all! I've had wonderful times at my own reunions of Nova High in Fort Lauderdale thanks to the hard work of some very dedicated people down there.
